We provide funds for the salaries of our teachers and donate much-needed school supplies.

There are over two million refugees from Burma living in Thailand. Many have children who cannot attend Thai schools because of the high cost of school supplies. To help these children, a network of makeshift schools called migrant learning centers has emerged in the north of Thailand along the Thai-Burma border. These schools are gravely under-resourced. Classrooms overflow with children who don’t have textbooks, or even proper footwear. When the rainy season arrives, the schools are flooded with water, which turns the dirt floors into mud.

BBP provides funding for teacher salaries, school supplies (including uniforms and books), and renovations to dilapidated schools. Our work empowers refugees to transform their lives for the better by helping them gain access to education.
